Fine Arts

In an age where fine arts programs are the exception rather than the rule, Saint Paul's School stresses the importance of exposing its students to a full range of fine arts.

Art

Grades 3-8 have a scheduled art class once a week in which they learn about famous artists and great masterpieces as well as a wide spectrum of techniques in both 3D and 2D art.  They put their creativity and imagination to work experimenting with a variety of media such as pencils, pastels, crayons, paper, wire and paper mache just to list a few.

Our students have exhibited their work and won awards in both city and diocesan art shows.

Music

Grades Pre-K and kindergarten have music every morning emphasizing singing, movement and rhythm.  You can see their rhythm band parading around the school  most Friday mornings.

Grades 1-8 haves scheduled year long music classes twice a week, where they not only sing, but learn about composers and various musical instruments.  During music classes students also prepare for elaborate Christmas and Spring Concerts.

In addition to regular music classes students may join the Middle School Girls' ensemble, cantor choir or grade 3-5 Junior Choir.  These groups not only perform during the Christmas and Spring Concerts, but also sing for special events and during Friday Masses.
