Virginia Doucette and her husband “retired” to Summerfield, Florida, 15 years ago, and they spent many days exploring and loving our new area. In her “first life,” she taught 1st and 3rd grades for nine years after graduating from Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Then life re-directed her into the field of accounting for a number of years prior to relocating here.
“I truly believe that God, in his gentleness and wisdom, not only directed me to return to education and the field that I always loved but, in particular, to St. Paul Catholic Community and especially to St. Paul School.”
She taught 1st grade for nine years and in 2013 retired again. Once again however, God, continuing to be wiser, had another idea! In 2019, Mrs. Doucette rejoined St. Paul as the 5th grade teacher.
