Students attend formal Spanish classes twice a week in grades Pre-K through 8 where
they actively participate in the communication process. The objective is to develop basic
reading, speaking and listening skills and to acquire an appreciation of the Spanish
language and culture. In recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 - October 15, the Spanish classes sponsor a huge Hispanic Fiesta during which students share in the culture, art, dance and food of many different Spanish speaking countries.
