Dear St. Paul School and Parish Community,
It is my joy and pleasure to announce that the search committee, after a national search, has been successful in finding our new leader for St. Paul Catholic School. I’d like to thank the members of the search committee for their time and expertise along with the efforts of Dr. Jacquelyn Flanigan, Associate Superintendent and facilitator of the search process.
I am happy that Mrs. Deborah Ahearn has accepted my invitation to serve as Principal of St. Paul Catholic School beginning with the academic year 2020-2021. Mrs. Ahearn comes to us with a wealth of experience in teaching and administration. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Leo University in Florida along with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism/English Education from Glassboro State College (Rowan University) in New Jersey.
Mrs. Ahearn began her journey in education in 1989 by teaching middle school at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in Altamonte Springs where she stayed for ten years. She then transferred to All Souls Catholic School in Sanford to teach middle school and remained there until 2012. At the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year, Mrs. Ahearn moved to Good Shepherd Catholic School in Orlando where she served as Technology Coordinator and teacher. In 2015, she was promoted to Assistant Principal and is currently serving in this position to date.
Mrs. Ahearn is a dedicated teacher/administrator who loves Catholic education. She is excited to begin her new role as principal at St. Paul Catholic School and I know that the Holy Spirit had a guiding hand in the process.
Please help me welcome Mrs. Ahearn to our St. Paul community. An opportunity to greet Mrs. Ahearn will be planned for the future and a separate invitation will be sent out.
May God bless our school, the faculty, the staff, the students and parents as we celebrate our new administrator!
Rev. Martin H. M. Nguyen
