History

It takes vision, hard work and the perseverance of dedicated people - administration, faculty, staff, teachers, parents, and the entire parish to develop, build, and operate a top-notch school. St. Paul's Catholic School is fortunate to have the support of a community that is committed to the education of its youth.
St. Paul's Catholic School first opened its doors in September 1961. The faculty was comprised of two lay teachers who taught first and second grades. Within the next two years, three nuns joined the staff and more grades were added. The school continued to grow, with a new grade added each year, until the school held a total of eight grades. With regret, the school had to close in 1969 due to funding and administration issues. Fortunately in 1981, St Paul's Catholic School was able to reopen as an elementary school.
With the arrival of Father John Giel to the Catholic Community of St. Paul in 1992, the school really began to flourish. Under his encouragement and guidance, St. Paul's Catholic School began to grow once again. Grades were added each year until the eight grade goal was achieved. The first eighth gradeĀ graduated in May 1994.
St. Paul's Catholic School currently houses grades Pre-K through 8th, with 15 teachers, 3 aides, two office staff and a principal. The school operates as two schools in one: an elementary and a middle school.
Since 1992, many new improvements have been made such as new buildings for Pre-K and K, an administration building, a wall around the school grounds, a new tw0-story wing housing our media center, video production center, science lab, kitchen, cafeteria and multi-purpose room. Last year, we renovated one of our buildings to create a fine arts building containing a music room and an art studio. Our next project is to enclose the sports pavilion which will provide a full size gymnasium.
St. Paul's has an active Parent Teacher Organization andĀ a School Board which meet on a monthly basis.
