IOWA ACHIEVEMENT TESTS Standardized test scores are key tools by which a school can measure and compare its growth. At St. Paul's, we are very proud of our Achievement Test scores. Our students have consistently scored well above the national average. The Iowa Tests of Basic Skills Achievement Tests are given each year to students in grades 3 through 8 in October. Grade 2 takes the tests in March. This standardized test is designed to measure growth across all curriculum areas in achievement and critical thinking skills. Individual schools from across the United States complete the tests and are then ranked on a national average Results: 2006-2007 School Year
Note: A grade equivalent score of 4.0 means that a student scored at the fourth grade level while doing third grade work. A private school ranking of 65% means that St. Paul's third graders scored higher than 65% of students in other private schools nationwide. A national student percent ranking of 76% means that St. Paul's third graders scored higher than 76% of all third graders in public and private schools nationwide. Overall achievement is well above the national average of 50%. St. Paul's does not take the FCAT tests because FCAT only compares students to other Florida students. ITBS compares students nationwide. |
